Adult Forest School Weekend
Rediscover the Wonder of Learning Outdoors.
What if we gave ourselves permission to explore, get muddy, build something with our hands, and experience the natural world with the same curiosity we had as children? Join Wild & Wonderful Forest School for a two-day immersive experience designed for adults who want to discover what forest school is all about. Whether you're a parent, educator, aspiring forest school leader, or simply someone who loves the outdoors, this weekend is an invitation to slow down, get curious, and learn through experience.
What We'll Explore
Throughout our weekend together, we'll discover the philosophy of forest school while practicing hands-on outdoor skills, including:
Fire building: Learn to gather materials, safely build fires, and explore different fire-starting techniques.
Shelter building: Work together to create shelters using materials found in the forest.
Nature based Lessons: We will learn how to make items such as chapstick, soap, walnut stain, acorn ink, eco prints, and more!
Outdoor learning: Experience the power of play, curiosity, exploration, and appropriate risk-taking.
Forest school philosophy: Learn about child-led learning, the role of the adult facilitator, and what makes forest school different from traditional outdoor education.
Community and connection: Share stories, ideas, meals, and meaningful experiences with fellow participants.
